J Marie premium sneakers are conceived in Detroit handcrafted in Italy. Le Marche, Italy. In LeMarche,Italy lies a 50 km piece of land responsible for the success of giant brands, such as Prada, Gucci, Tod's, Fendi, Chanel and hundreds other independent footwear brands. Known as The Shoe Valley district, more than 2,000 companies have their main offices located here, and 15,000 new footwear products are developed and launched each season from this unique region boasting 100 years of elite Italian shoemaking tradition. Our manufacturing process features extremely skilled techniques and careful reworking. Every pair of custom shoes is one-of-a-kind: combining handcrafting tradition, quality and modern style. J Marie premium sneakers are perfectly Italian. Every sneaker features pristine, quality leather sourced and processed in Italy. Custom sneakers created in this luxe material makes the end product smooth to the touch, comfortable to wear and visually stunning. My name is Janyelle Marie Milton founder of J Marie Premium Sneakers!
In Highschool you couldn't catch me dead in "gym shoes ", I LOVED heels! I loved the feminine way they made me look and feel. Graduating from College....not so much.
As I settled into corporate America and moved into downtown Detroit, my life became parking structures and A LOT of walking! Then came the health issues, a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis and losing vision in my right eye. Quickly an heel that was once the cornerstone of my look became the cornerstone of my pain! The constant body aching, weight gain and feelings of uncomfortableness had me looking for an alternative to heels.
I tried different gym shoe brands that were either masculine, childish or too athletic and none of them fit the style that I was accustomed to.
So I ditched "gym shoes" for good and created my own PREMIUM SNEAKER brand as an alternative to heels for premium women like myself . I took the first initial of my first name and my middle name and created J. Marie Premium Sneakers! I didn't want to compromise style, comfort or quality! So now you don't either! I offer PREMIUM women sneakers that can be dressed up or down.

J Marie Premium Sneakers was launched in April of 2018. I partnered with an Italian footwear making family with over 20 yrs experience in superior craftsmanship in Le Marche, Italy. They have worked with brands like Gucci, Prada,Todd and Chanel. J Marie Premium Sneakers are conceived in Detroit handcrafted in Italy. Our Premium Sneakers are 100% Italian leather with premium finishes like faux zebra, crocodile and python in vibrant colors! We are a slow fashion and sustainable organization! Our women Sneakers range from athletic, fashion to High fashion so there's something for every Premium woman! It's a financial literacy program for youth that teaches skills of money management, entrepreneurship, assets, finances, life skills and so much more!
I had the honor and huge opportunity to be apart of this camp when I was just 15 years old!
I met Gail and was introduced to this camp when I was in the 10th grade at South Eastern High School....I had a 1.6 grade point average ( I hated school and rarely went or applied myself). I had no thoughts of college, never even heard of entrepreneurship, definitely knew NOTHING about stocks,bonds, t bills, finances or assets. Don't get me wrong I had great parents but they couldn't teach me about something they knew nothing of.
Gail taught us so lovingly, patiently, selflessly about "Living on 5th Avenue" having 5 streams of income. How to read stock tickers and invest in stocks, she even bought us out first shares! She taught us how to look at all the products we used daily and begin to not just be consumers but stockholders in those brands.She taught us this through a myriad of guest speakers, experiences , activities and trips. She opened and expanded our minds! This camp changed the trajectory of my life.
I ended up going to The University of Michigan and becoming a serial entrepreneur myself starting J Marie Premium Sneakers.
I'll never forget her, the camp and how it changed my MIND thus changing my life!
That's what programs like this do for our youth! I'm an example, proof, a testimony!
That's why I wanted to find a way to giveback to something, someone that poured into me.
